Accomplishing Other Distinctive Objectives

Accomplishing Other Distinctive Objectives addresses the processes that contribute to the achievement of an institution’s major objectives that complement student learning and fulfill other portions of its mission. Depending on the institution’s character, it examines the institution's processes and systems related to:

  • Identification of other distinctive objectives
  • Alignment of other distinctive objectives
  • Faculty and staff roles
  • Assessment and review of objectives
  • Measures
  • Analysis of  results
  • Improvement efforts

As a technical college, NTC's mission includes that of contributing to the economic development of its region.  It primarily does this through training and educational programs provided to business and industry in the region designed to build capacity, improve productivity and increase economic success.   The success of its business and industry determines the economy of the region.

The College intends to be a valued community partner.  Through community involvement and opening the College facilities for community use, College leadership demonstrates its commitment to the community and region it serves.

 

NTC also aims to develop all of its learners in more ways than educating them.   By encouraging participation in college and/or community activities, organizations, and service opportunities, the College aims to instill in its constituents an enhanced sense of global awareness through civic engagement.
